Vestry News & Review: Welcoming Stephen Reynolds

A message from Maria Acuna Feldman, Senior Warden:

It is my pleasure to welcome Steve Reynolds to the Vestry at St. Martin’s. On August 20th, Steve attended the Vestry meeting, shared some of his Board and ministry experience, and accepted the invitation to join the Vestry. Vestry members voted unanimously to appoint Steve to fill the vacant Vestry position. Please read the introduction Steve shared.

Meet Stephen Reynolds! Here’s a message from him:

I have been attending St. Martin’s with my wife Sheri for about fifteen years. Our daughter Michaela was baptized fourteen years ago here at St. Martin’s. Fun fact, she was the first person baptized in the then new baptismal font. I was baptized at St. Martin’s in 2019. I moved to Sacramento in 1987 to attend law school at UC Davis. I have lived in Davis since 1994 and raised three children here. Professionally, I am working to wind up a few remaining Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and hope to be fully retired this year. Other interests include service as an officer and director for community groups including the Davis Food Coop and the Davis Aquatic Masters. I currently serve on the Belfry Board and am continually amazed by the honesty, energy, intellectual power, and faith of our friends at the Belfry. I enjoy the quiet of the 8:00am service here at St. Martin’s. My work on the finance committee has exposed me to the systems and procedures we use to manage our church; past and present staff and volunteers have given us a strong organization to support the real work of our faith community. I feel lucky to be here.
