This Sunday! Fourth Sunday with Pop-Up Choir at 10am, Christ the King
Sunday, at 10am, is a Fourth Sunday, meaning the service is a little shorter and more accessible to all ages, especially the youngest in our congregation. We have a Pop-Up choir on Fourth Sundays, meaning anyone of any age is invited to join the choir at the Offertory to make joyful noise. This Sunday we honor Christ the King. Our Pop-Up anthem will be “He is King of Kings!” from “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” Trumpet player Michael Smith will add festive flair to our worship. We are also honoring Native American Heritage this month. Jeffrey’s selections include three pieces by Navajo (Diné) pianist and composer Connor Chee, whose collection “Sixteen Etudes” pairs pianistic technique with cultural storytelling from Diné life and tradition.

Confirmation and Enquirer’s Class Continues, 11:30am – 1pm
Meets on the five Sundays of November and is for anyone and everyone but is designed for those who are considering being baptized, confirmed or received when Bishop Megan visits on December 7. If you missed the first few classes, you are still welcome to attend. Meet in Room 6/7. Please talk to Rev. Pamela ASAP if you are interested in being baptized, confirmed, or received.

Memorial Service for Pauline Bekebrede, 3pm
All are invited to Pauline Bekebrede’s memorial service and to the reception following in the parish hall. Loving God, we pray for all those we love but see no longer. Grant them your peace and let light perpetual shine upon them.

Service Opportunities
Bring Food for Our Weekly Collection: With SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits reduced and delayed, the need is great! This Sunday’s nonperishable food collection will go to The Pantry at UC Davis. They have specifically requested canned fruit, canned tomatoes, canned tuna, canned chicken, canned beans, rice and quinoa (small packages), granola bars, and olive oil. They will also accept laundry detergent pods.

Diocesan-Wide Youth Service Project: Calling all high-school aged students (including those entering or graduating in summer 2026) and/or chaperones. Join the Sierra Service Project on July 12-18 in Navajoland, Arizona or July 19-25 in Del Norte County, California. Scholarships available. No teen pays more than $500. Thanksgiving Project Update: We raised $8,680 for the Thanksgiving gift card project. The gift cards, to be given to families with school-age children, undocumented UC Davis students, and seniors will make a huge difference to those struggling to make ends meet. Thank you one and all!

Wednesday Night Soup Suppers and Holden Evening Prayer during Advent
Advent begins next Sunday, November 30. As we did in Lent, a number of local congregations are coming together at Davis Lutheran Church (317 E 8th St, Davis) for a soup supper and worship on Wednesdays, December 3, 10, and 17 at 6pm. Dinner and fellowship will be from 6-6:45, followed by Evening Prayer. If you can bring soup to serve 8-10 on any of the dates, please let the office know. Holden Evening Prayer is a sung evening prayer service (about half an hour) written by Marty Haugen. Rev. Pamela, Belfry chaplain Portia Hopkins, and Pastor Emily Pickens-Jones of Davis United Methodist will lead the mediations at these services around themes of simplicity and “Just this. Just now.” Come join us! 

Living Well through Advent Class on Zoom, Mondays 2-3:30pm
Helen Campbell will lead a Living Well Through Advent class on Mondays in Advent (December 1, 8, 15, 22) from 2-3:30pm on Zoom. The materials are from Living Compass with a theme this Advent of “Practicing Generosity with All Your Heart, Soul, Strength, and Mind.” We have Living Well through Advent booklets available in the narthex. Please let Helen or the church office know if you’d like to attend. Drop-ins are always welcome, but you’ll need the Zoom link.

Save the Dates! A Christmas Nativity by the Kids of Davis Progressive Youth Collective
Davis Progressive Youth Collective (DPYC) is a joint program of several churches in Davis. DPYC is presenting a performance of the nativity on Saturday December 13th at 11am and Sunday December 14th at 12pm at the Davis United Methodist Church. Several St. Martin’s children will be performing. Come celebrate the birth of Jesus and sing along with classic carols. Suggested donation of $5 per person. St. Martin’s Children’s Christmas Pageant
St. Martin’s will have a children’s Christmas Pageant on December 24 at the 3pm service. All are welcome to participate. Talk to Sheri Reynolds, Missy or Matt Campell, or the church office if your children want to participate. More information soon.

Office and Nursery Closures
The church office will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 27 – 28 for Thanksgiving. The Nursery will be closed on Sunday, November 30.
