Message from the Very Rev. Pamela from July 17, 2026:

Dear Ones,

I hope to see many of you at tomorrow’s ordination of Maggie Rutherford to the transitional diaconate. As you probably know, getting to the point of being able to welcome a new curate has been quite a journey! I am grateful for all the ways the parish has come together to make this possible. And now we have the pleasure of welcoming Maggie into our community, as we support her in her new role as an ordained clergy person, too.

On Sunday morning I will join Maggie (soon to be Rev. Maggie!) at St. Luke’s in Galt, our partner church in the curacy program. Then I’ll be at our first-ever Pizza Church on Sunday afternoon. I am so excited about this new offering, which is designed for all generations to come together to sing, pray, have Communion, and enjoy fellowship and fun, not to mention pizza! We’ll start at 5, worship will be less than an hour, and we should be ready to clean up and head home by 6:30 at the latest.

It’s been wonderful to be able to start so many new things this summer. I hope you’re taking advantage of the sampling of new offerings, from monthly Bible study to Taizé to Pizza Church–and don’t forget to invite a friend from time to time, as well.

Blessings,

Pamela+
