We are planning a virtual craft fair to take place from Friday, Dec 11 through Sunday, Dec 13. Our goal is to raise funds to help with expenses related to regathering as we traverse our way through this awful pandemic. This event will showcase the crafting and artistic endeavors of our wonderful, talented and generous parish community. The fair will also include baked goods for holiday noshing such cookies, breads, cakes, and pies.
So, all you bakers, knitters, weavers, crocheters, sewing types, quilters, ceramicists, painters, woodworkers and other craft hobbyists, start brainstorming. Popular items include but aren’t limited to scarves, hats, kid’s clothing, baby quilts, jams and preserves, small decorative objects, and, hey, masks! But don’t dismiss larger, more time intensive and more expensive items like afghans. This might be a perfect way for you to channel all that compulsive crafting you’ve been doing to maintain your sanity during this lock down. Sell your stash to benefit our church community!
And for those with time, interest and commitment, consider doing something on commission? I bet there might be a market for advanced orders for upcoming holiday festivities.
If we’re leaving anyone out or you have other ideas, jump up and down and wave! Persons interested in participating may contact us at info@churchofstmartin.org. We will take care of the details. So, start your crafting engines!
