In discussing how our church became a zero carbon campus, our own Nick Buxton is quoted saying “By doing it on the church property, you’re modeling what can be done. We know the climate crisis is one of the biggest environmental crises humanity has faced and is going to require action at every level, and the church can speak with an even stronger moral voice if it puts into action.”
Nick’s powerful statement encapsulates St. Martin’s efforts and stance on the climate crisis and our need to take action. The article goes on to discuss how other churches in the United States are taking action toward reducing carbon emissions.
We at St. Martin’s thank everyone who has helped us on our journey toward becoming a zero carbon emission church and hope you enjoy reading about all the ways the Episcopal Church nationwide, along with St. Martin’s, is responding to the climate crisis.
