Message from the Very Rev. Pamela from May 15, 2026:
Dear Ones,
I will miss seeing you this weekend, but wanted to jump in with a reading suggestion. This month the Vestry is beginning to read and discuss the book Seeking God: The Way of St. Benedict by Esther de Waal. It’s not exactly a beach read, but this classic book on Benedictine spirituality will help us have some shared vocabulary about spiritual practices and what values shape our common life together in the parish.
If you’re interested, please follow along with our reading! We’ll discuss the preface and Chapter One at our May meeting and continue with a chapter or two each month. And do remember that Vestry meetings, which are generally held on the third Wednesday of the month at 7pm, are always open to parishioners. If you want to attend just for the first 20 minutes, when we have our book discussion, please know that you are very welcome!
Also, please be sure to check out the issue of Reflections that comes out today (see the link in the box below). As always, I’m so grateful for the writing, editing, and photography skills of Gabe Avila, who does the majority of the work on our magazine, as well as to everyone else who contributed.
Blessings,
Pamela+
