Godly Play at St. Martin’s

All Sundays except the fourth Sunday of the month

All children in grades TK–6 are welcome to participate in Godly Play. Inspired by Montessori principles, Godly Play uses storytelling and hands-on activities to help children explore their spirituality and develop a relationship with God. Children hear a story told using simple materials and are then invited into the story to “wonder” about what the story means. The Godly Play approach helps children to explore their faith through story and ritual, to learn religious language to express their growing faith, and to enhance their spiritual experience through wonder and play. Currently, Godly Play meets in Room 4 on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and any 5th Sundays of the month, during the 10am service. Our “Fourth Sunday” worship services are more interactive than usual and designed to be accessible to a wide variety of ages.
