St. Martin’s is blessed to have a park-like setting on a neighborhood block as our church home.
Our outdoor spaces include a large on-campus labyrinth, children’s play area, contemplative meditation garden, and more. The grounds is home to over 80 species of trees, an eco-friendly irrigation system, and abundant space for spiritual growth and formation. The Building and Grounds Committee and Landscape Planning Committee work to ensure the campus meets the needs of the planet and community. For more information, please contact sacredgrounds@churchofstmartin.org.
LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT
We acknowledge the land on which we are gathered. For thousands of years, the land on which St. Martin’s stands has been the home of Patwin people. Today, there are three federally-recognized Patwin tribes: Cachil Dehe Band of Wintun Indians of the Colusa Indian Community, Kletsel Dehe Wintun Nation, and Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation. The Patwin people have remained committed to the stewardship of this land over many centuries. It has been cherished and protected, as elders have instructed the young through generations. We are honored and grateful to be here today on their traditional lands.
