17th Annual Interfaith Peace Picnic – Saturday, September 26, 11 am – 3 pm in Woodland:

People of all faiths, backgrounds, and cultures are coming together for an afternoon of food, friendship, laughter, and community at John Ferns Park, 750 W Southwood Dr., Woodland, CA 95695. Founded by the American Muslim Voice Foundation and originally inspired in the aftermath of the September 11th attacks, the interfaith peace picnic is an annual gathering uniting diverse religious and secular groups to promote unity. Hosted in the park by the Woodland Mosque and Islamic Center, the picnic is taking place the week of the International Day of Peace. Pakistani food will be provided along with music, entertainment, and games.
