Environmental Justice in a Moment of Danger

UPDATE ON 3/10:

Please note that we are postponing this event in compliance with guidance from Yolo County to cancel all non-essential gatherings. We will reschedule as soon as we can.

‘We are living in a precarious environmental and political moment. In the United States and in the world, people are facing environmental disasters such as Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico or fires in California in devastatingly disproportionate ways. What does this moment of danger mean for the environment and for justice? What can we learn from environmental justice struggles? Professor Julie Sze will discuss her new book, Environmental Justice in a Moment of Danger that catalogues how environmental justice movements fight, survive, love, and create in the face of violence that challenges the conditions of life itself. Join us from 7:00 PM-8:30 PM on Tuesday March 10th for this important talk and conversation.’
