On September 23rd, restoration work will begin on our stained glass window. As the Rev. Pamela’s message said:
“As recommended by the Davis Fire Marshall, our best option for having work done in that tight space is to drain our fire suppression system while the work is going on. The church will thus be considered “a work zone,” meaning we cannot use the building. So, for those weeks, we will worship in the parish hall instead of in the church. Our Sunday services will continue uninterrupted at 8am and 10am, just in a different location. The church office will be open its regular hours.
The staff and several volunteers have been hard at work figuring out all the details involved in moving our worship services out of the church, and we believe it will be a relatively smooth process. That being said, I ask in advance for your patience and cooperation for those moments when something is forgotten or doesn’t go as planned. We are so close to getting this done—we just have to flex those adaptability muscles a little longer! And what a pleasure it will be to return to the church with a newly restored and vibrant window overhead, reminding us of the glory of God, “whose power, working in us, can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine.””
