The Hospitality Committee organizes coffee hour treats and clean up, and organizes receptions, special events, and newcomer gatherings. Regular special events typically include a picnic at the end of the program year, an all-parish repast as part of the fall Stewardship Drive, a “Shrove Sunday” pancake breakfast, and receptions after Lessons and Carols and Easter Sunday services.
Weekly Coffee Hour, coordinated by the Hospitality Committee with goodies contributed by other parishioners, constitutes a very important part of hospitality: it’s a time when parish members can catch up with their parish family and provides an opportunity for new members and visitors to get acquainted and to find out more about St. Martin’s.
