This Sunday! Guest Preacher Payton Hoegh on May 25
This Sunday, Rogation Sunday, we welcome Payton Hoegh, Program Director for the Center for Spirituality in Nature, as our guest preacher at both morning services. Payton is a leading voice in the Episcopal Church about creation care and is passionate about community weaving, ecology, environmentalism, agriculture, justice, and equity. After the 10am service, we’ll have a Rogation Procession as we bless the parish grounds. In the Episcopal Church, Rogation Days are a time of prayer and intercession, traditionally involving processions around the parish boundaries and blessings for the land and its inhabitants. Payton will be available to chat and answer questions during Coffee Hour.
This Sunday! Blessing of the Bicycles after 10am Service, May 25
As part of our Rogation Day festivities, we will have a short Blessing of the Bicycles before the Rogation Procession after the 10am service. We are encouraging all who can to ride their bikes to church on Sunday to do so. If you can’t ride your bicycle, consider bringing your helmet or bike light to have it blessed.
