Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of our Lenten journey, which culminates with the Easter Vigil. The Church of St. Martin will offer three services with the imposition of ashes on Wednesday, February 22.
7am — Rite I Service
12pm — Rite II Service
7pm — Contemporary Service

Beginning on Thursday, February 23, Evening Prayer will be held Monday through Friday in the church sanctuary at 5:30pm. The service, about 30 minutes in length, will come from the Book of Common Prayer and include intervals of quiet. While the service will usually be lay-led, clergy will offer Eucharist on Wednesdays. We hope you will consider being part of this time for prayer and meditation during Lent.

All those who participated in the Confirmation class last fall and any others who would like to be confirmed, received, or reaffirm your confirmation vows are invited to join Mark and Ernie on February 26th after the 11am service. This will be a continuation of the process started in the fall with a specific emphasis on the question: “What is Confirmation, and why should I do it?” As was our custom in the fall, we will offer a salad bar for lunch. The Church of St. Martin is currently raising funds for the rebuilding of All Saints Cathedral in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. We have already collected over $2500 in donations. You may view the poster in the narthex, which offers a visual display of the number of “bricks” that have been purchased. If you would like to donate a brick, they are $10 each. As stated at the Annual Meeting, the cathedral needs as much rebar as brick. $30 will buy a piece of rebar. Please make out checks to St. Martin with …

On February 19, 2012, celebrate the last Sunday before Lent with a traditional meal of pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, coffee, tea, etc. Join TYGMOS* and the Hospitality Commission from 8:30am until 11am.  Donations will help fund youth programs at St Martin’s, including youth outreach to YIIN and youth fundraising to rebuild the cathedral in the Diocese of Haiti.

Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Weber’s classic Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is coming to a congregation near you! Congregation Bet Haverim and the Episcopal Church of St. Martin will present the 8th Annual Children’s Interfaith Musical on April 29th and May 6th. day-to-day operation of the Christian Formation Ministry at the
Episcopal Church of St. Martin in Davis, California. The successful
administrator will provide clerical, organizational, and
communications support to help our staff and volunteers guide our
